Yes - sometimes helicopers do arrive with the groom and groomsmen out of the blue, fireworks go off during the introduction of the couple and fog flows from the headtable during the first dance. Today’s photojournalistic wedding photographer has to be ready for anything as seen at the wedding of Amanda and Steve at beautiful Swaneset Golf Course in Pitt Meadows!
There is nothing like the beautiful Vancouver Island setting of Shawnigan Lake to inspire and motivate. Add in a dash of new techniques from fine art photographer Arthur Rainville and it’s just perfect. In essence it’s all about capturing the essence of a person and not just a map of their face. It’s a persons photographic soul we are after and that’s what makes me a portraitist. This approach to photography is different as I allow the person I photograph to collaborate on creating a true representation of who they are!
Vancouver’s Stanley Park is a great setting for romantic engagement photos.
White Rock is a spectacular Setting for a sunset with the ocean, rocks, the Pier. Waiting for the sunset adds a certain warmth to the images.
Rain does not dampen this couples romantic wedding in spectacular Vandusen Gardens. Joy, emotion and happiness were as abundant as the vibrant flowers.
An engagement Session at Shannon Falls just ourside of Squamish in the pouring rain – count me in. Vancouver area wedding photography is all about working in difficult weather. What’s even more challanging is climbing into streams with a full backpack of equipment but this fun couple was all for it.
